Meridian is getting nailed.

Meridian and Lauderdale County has had outbreaks in nine nursing homes/LTC facilities. It's not like it's out in general pop.

Really? Majority of those deaths are not from nursing homes.

Mississippi is having an upward trend in cases. I'd like cases to level out before opening everything.

Hard to know if that's really the case or we have more testing.

Best number to watch is ICU beds. That's trending up slightly but still below the peak.

Mayors' quote

quote:
“And yet, I went to the grocery store and I’m the only in the aisle wearing a mask,” she said. “Although we’ve been encouraging it, people aren’t doing it. In fact, I see fewer people wearing them now than when this first started. How do we get people to care enough to do it?”

I find this hard to believe. I went in Wal Mart in indianola yesterday and 75% had masks on and our local population isn’t exactly known for making responsible decisions

Deltaland

I need to go to Belzoni,Clarksdale,Oxford and the Columbus / Starkville area to see some customers.

Do you think I will be looked at like a pariah as I have Louisiana plates?

bullshite. Only 64 cases out of around 240 are in nursing homes. 10 out of 19 deaths are in them as well.

The vents went down yesterday after going up for a couple of days. However, they are substantially down from two weeks ago.

I go to Jackson Kroger, Sam's, and Mcdades Fortification. Same story. $ot whites wear masks. Except for a couple of older black folks, none of the blacks wear masks. They are invincible.

10 out of 19 seems like a lot to me.
What do I know though.
