I'm starting very soon to look for a Honda Accord. I'll look for a new car or consider a certified low mileage car. Of the 3 dealerships in the area, Richards Honda, Team Honda, or Tiger Honda in Gonzales, can someone offer opinions or ideas about your experiences with these dealerships. Also, can you recommend a particular salesman that you've dealt with that has treated you fairly and feel like you got a good deal. Thanks in advance for responses.

We bought an Accord from Richard's last November. Looked up what a decent price was, filled out a check and told them what I would pay. Deal was done. Of course they try to sell you extended warranties and garbage, but I just said No thanks. Was there less than 2 hours total.

I would avoid Tiger Honda. I know someone who has a parent that struggles with mental issues and a salesman convinced her she needed a brand new car instead of fixing the 2 year old car she already had.

Richards is the way to go.

No nonsense and no pressure. Sent a colleague there and he was done in about an hour. Couldn't believe how easy and comfortable the process was with their group.

Go thru the internet sales for each one.

Tell them exactly what you want and ask for a price (you're getting a new car so this shouldn't be hard).

Let them know you are asking other dealers as well.

Get car loan stuff done in advance (Don't use Honda Financing).

Don't give them ur phone number (if the site forces u to then make one up).

Research online the price the going price.

Select best offer and confirm final price.

Pick up car (if they BS and add more cost than walk out).

I bought a vehicle from Team Honda a while back. I know a few people in management at their Toyota location, they are good people.

Richards gets my vote. Mom came to town to downsize from a Tahoe to a CRV. There was no hassle or games. She got a great price with me doing the price homework and making the deal.

I've bought from Team once and Richards twice. Team has a higher volume and selection, but dealing with Richards was much easier.

In fact, I was going to purchase through Richards every time, but Team locked up a dealer trade on the specific car I wanted prior to closing the deal. Richards was unable to find another one and Team wouldn't trade it to Richards. So I was forced to deal with Team. They eventually matched Richards price but it was a difficult experience.

Also consider Honda of Covington.

I just purchased a new Accord for my wife and visited all 3 of the local Baton Rouge Honda dealerships. I ended making my purchase at Richards Honda because they gave me a great deal and their customer service was 100 times better the other two dealerships. Richards was the only dealership that me and my wife visited where we didn't feel like we were getting jacked around. If you ask me, I'd say don't even waste your time with Team Honda and Tiger Honda.

Thanks, Willmont. Several others have spoken well about Richards Honda. I'll be checking them first. Thanks

The Team dealerships have always been the most crooked places In my experience. Got a good deal at Richards once. No experience with the other.

Richards actually had a Nissan Rogue my wife wanted so I went over and got a very good deal. The Vehicle wasn't precert anymore so they were able to give a lot of wiggle room.
