They solved this a couple months ago and charged four. 2 were already in jail.

What nobody is asking is-are all these connected?????

There is a reason nobody is asking that question.

I hid some Cosmic Brownies and someone found them and left the empty box. Haunts me to this day.

This case hit close to home not only by location but my son went to Texas St. and would make that trek to come home to see us.

On December 13, 2020, Jason Landry, a 21-year-old student at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, disappeared after his car was found crashed and abandoned along a rural gravel road near Luling, Texas. Landry had been driving from San Marcos to his family home in Missouri City, Texas, but never arrived.

His vehicle was discovered shortly after midnight on Salt Flat Road in Caldwell County, Texas. Several personal belongings, including clothing, were found scattered along the roadway near the crash site, but Landry himself was not located. Despite extensive searches by law enforcement and volunteer organizations, he has not been located.

That murder really shook me up. Could have been anybody. More disturbing they haven’t found a suspect yet.

probably the most well known:

Victim – Elizabeth Spence

Murder Investigation

Montgomery Cold Case Task Force
(334) 832-2550

$35,000 Reward Offered for any Information that Leads to any Arrest(s) Involved in the 1991 Homicide Investigation

In 1991, Elizabeth Spence, 27, was the victim of homicide. On Wednesday, January 2, 1991, Spence was reported missing. Then Lafayette Police Chief Fred Lumpkin reported to the media, “For her to have gone anywhere without her family knowing about it was completely out of context.”

On Wednesday, January 9, 1991, Spence’s vehicle, a Daihatsu Charade, was found by Montgomery Police in the parking lot of a department store on Atlanta Highway. The body was discovered unexpectedly after the vehicle was turned over to the Lafayette Police Department for inspection of evidence in Montgomery.

The investigation is now in the hands of the Montgomery District Attorney’s Cold Case Task Force. Investigators are requesting information from anyone that may have information to help solve this case.

I live south of Nashville, but the Tabitha Tuders case keeps me awake some nights. Elizabeth Cook wrote a song about her and the lyrics get to me every time I hear it.

When I was in Alaska, the number of cold cases with missing Alaska Native people was insane.

However, in general, its because that culture is toxic with alcohol and its easy pickings for serial killers that have yet to be identified.

Desolate area with extremely low population density and terrain that is tough to navigate…

My childhood best friend from kindergarten into adulthood disappeared without a trace one day. Many years later, his bones and clothing remnants were found in a shallow grave in the woods a mile from the street we grew up on together. Sometimes I think of how scared he must have been and it's hard to process and I have little breakdowns when driving alone.

It is a Louisiana cold case and the killer got away with it, never has been found. No leads, no reason, no explanation, nothing. Was it a serial killer? Don't know. It definitely helped drive me into a drinking habit that hurt my professional career and family.

One star review on Yelp. Would not recommend for anybody.

Ricky Dykes. Early eighties. Jones County MS. Owned a feed mill called HDJ Milling about 5 miles west of Laurel. Chained to a post inside the mill and shot in the back of the head. The building burned completely.

He had announced in church for people to pray for him, and that the mafia was alive and well in Jones county.

Years later the man that married Ricky's dad's widow told my dad that Ricky's dad, who was the original owner of the business, had lost more than he could pay in gambling debts. He told them that he would soon die of cancer and the debt would be paid through a life insurance policy.

They were pillars of the community and Ricky's dad was one of the last people I would have thought would get in that kind of problem. His cousin got elected sheriff a few years later and wanted to pursue the case, but was told to leave it alone.
