Any chance that a May 2018 conference in Puerto Rico actually happens?

My trucking lawyer association is supposed to have its annual meeting at the El Conquistador the first week of May. The muckety mucks in charge say they are "monitoring the situation " and "in touch with people on the ground" and hope to have a decision soon.
I think there's no way this thing happens. Just sayin.

They will go all out to get the tourist areas up and running as quickly as possible. Odds improve if this is a free standing resort and not a hotel in the middle of town.

Maybe you can get a package deal with some tickets to next years Fyre Festival.

Probably not, my lepidoptera clubs annual conference was supposed to happen in April '18 in San Juan, but they just informed me it has been moved.

Cancun was pretty quick to reopen the tourist areas a few years back when they were destroyed by a hurricane.
I'm surprised you guys would be going to PR to begin with given the zika problems, unless it is a sausage fest.

The El Conquistador is a major major place so I bet they will get up and running as fast as possible. The problem is the rest of the island.
I would say no.

Farjado is a pretty shitty town outside of the conquistador, I would imagine it got pretty fricked up
