Shopping for beach speakers is trashy.

If you ain't flexin profanity-laden music at top volume over everyone else's music in a public space, you ain't about shite.

Braven

I have this one. It’s been sitting in my car since football season. I just took it out, turned it on, and it has 2 out of 3 left on battery. Cap screws on in the back to keep water/sound out of charger plug in. Price drop at link, it was a lot more than that when I got it.

Don't listen to the old fuddy-duddies in here...

"Put on headphones! I'm trying to enjoy the beach!!"

It's a fricking beach, not a library. Besides, what if you're there with friends? Everyone just gonna listen to headphones? Give me a god damned break

Yep, and people are there, at least in part, to be able to hear the ocean.

You think it’s acceptable because you like the music selected and because few, if anyone else, is playing anything. Imagine if every group on the beach, every umbrella and towel, played their own music. Literally dozens of competing sound systems playing utterly discordant music. Everyone would be miserable.

Every time you turn on music at the beach, practically everyone within earshot hates you. If you’re ok with that, it says more about you than it does them.

This is why I don't go to crowded beaches.

Well now that you put it that way.

Look up the new 512 Audioengine speaker. Outstanding for $169.

Anker, off Amazon. As good as the $120 Bose at 1/5 the price.

Altec Lansing H2O waterproof speakers are cheap and sound pretty good.

There are decent and affordable speakers that sound good close range but don’t carry far.

Have you ever been to the beach or listened to music? It doesn’t sound like it.

This is why I go to the beach the week of Labor Day. No crowds, no obnoxious BS like speakers blaring.

I agree with most of what you said.

There are a few times it is appropriate to crank that shite though.

Late afternoon/early evening when all the olds have gone in for their nap or to get ready for the early bird dinner special. As long as you have some big tittied girls in the group and an open cooler.

Just find something cheap and it'll probably be good enough. Walmart shows this in stock in Lafayette (not sure where you are). Splash proof, won't win any audio quality awards but probably good enough for poolside.

I would also wager you have a "safe space"
