Antisemitism in BR healthcare

Just recently a close relative had to be hospitalized for cancer surgery, he was moved to a rehab hospital to recover use of the affected area. When checking him in I noticed that a few of the employees were Muslim, just using the way they were dressed. The patient is Catholic, grew up in a Catholic family and regularly goes to church, however, his last name is predominantly seen as Jewish by most people. This has never been an issue in his life or the life of his wife or children.

The first night in the rehab hospital one of the Muslim women was the nurse on duty. The first time she came in she asked him about his last name, he was a little confused as to why the nurse was asking such a question. He gave her a short answer, telling her he was Catholic boy from a small Cajun town on Bayou Lafourche. He told me that she gave him a strange looking, kind of rolling her eyes. When she left the room she left all the lights on, he tried to call her back to turn them off, but she had left the call button out of reach. Even though he was heavily sedated with pain killers, resting was difficult with all the lights on.

The next day when the doctor made rounds, he told him about the conversation about his name with the nurse and the incident with the call button and light, the doc said he would look into it. I called to see how he was doing, he told me about the previous night, I told him it was possible that with his last name, the Muslim nurse is taking the war out on him, he though that was ridiculous. There were other incidents with these nurses, one of them put him in excruciating pain trying to move him, even though there were orders to the contrary, while she was doing this she asked him if he reported her to the doctor.

He told me about other problems, but the doctor didn't seem to take this seriously and he was in so much pain, he didn't want me to push the issue. I feel like he has the basis for a lawsuit, but fighting a painful cancer, he just doesn't want to think about it. After four days of this we found a bed for him at another facility and got him moved.
