Legal weed has driven them all insane out there.

Deputies have contacted several groups of residents in Corbett who have set up checkpoints and are stopping cars. While we understand their intent is to keep the community safe, it is never legal to block a public roadway or force other citizens to stop.

OP I haven’t seen a single reputable news story substantiating your claim that dozens were arrested for starting fires in Oregon. I am not on either side of the aisle, but please stop spreading bull shite. This country needs to learn not to trust anything you read online until it has been confirmed, and your carelessness magnifies the problem.

Corvallis. It’s been a bitch here but after seeing what some of the folks at the evacuation centers have endured I’ve got it made. Hope you are safe wherever you may be too. Medford has a red flag warning again tomorrow so I’m praying the winds are not as bad as forecast. This disaster has really impacted me deeply and I just wish I could do more to help.

I don’t like that it’s been politicized. I don’t like that my brothers comment when I texted them photos was “treehuggers”.
It was 19 years ago that 9/11 happened and I really felt back then that Americans came together and sympathized with each other. Politics have gotten so bad today that we don’t do that anymore. It’s basic human decency and we have lost it altogether. See the shite head above me who said “burn away”. We are better than this, at least some of us are.

This isn't burning down Portland. It's burning down the small towns in the mountains. Thousands of homes have been lost, and just in the fire closest to me, 50 people are still missing. These places are full of rural conservatives that you probably have more in common with than you know. I'm not one of them, but frick you, man.

I'm down in Eugene and likewise have it made compared to many. Ready for this smoke to clear out though.
I agree it's been tough to watch. When I heard about the fire on Monday night I started streaming the McKenzie fire department scanner until it finally went down. Folks calling in trapped in their houses. Firefighters in some cases rushing into burning campgrounds to save folks, and in other cases just telling folks that it's too dangerous to get to them and they have to shelter in place. Just horrible.

After you check out the story the vuvuzela posted above, I'd also encourage you to swing on over to the Blue River Bulletin Board. The whole town burned down Monday night with just a few minutes for people to flee for their lives. Put some names and faces to the losses, and then you can tell them to 'burn away' directly.
