Most German's weren't going door to door rounding up and gassing jews and gypsies. They were just tacit supports that allowed it to happen through mass appeasement. Like you.

Let’s not mention that he almost immediately banned flights coming in from Asia.

No he didn't. He dragged his feet on it because he didn't want to risk blowing up the trade deal with China. Most commerical carriers had already stopped the majority of flights from China when he issued the ban, and his ban only applied to Chinese nationalists.

Let’s also not mention that the original estimated death toll was in excess of 2 million.

That's also not completely accurate. That number was the top number in a range of potential outcomes. It was the worst case scenario number.

I do. My position on "defund the police" has been clearly stated multiple times here. I do not support it as a non fact based, emotional cutting of a budget line item. If it's going to happen, it needs to be driven by data and I would oppose any pandering emotional proposal put forth from my city.

I'm not trying to carry water per se. It's just that more often than not here, if the word liberal can be attached to it, it's the devil. It's like 95/5 R to D here so it can easily seem like I only back liberal causes sometimes even when I only point out something like this where a huge net is casted because of the actions of parts of a large group.

So you agree with me? I almost brought this up to support my position.

You have 2 large political parties. People support the one that mostly aligns with their beliefs. Not many people will agree with every single position of their party. A conservative can be pro choice without being a full on liberal.

The actions of another have no reflection on me just because we may agree on other unrelated things.

So he wasnt nationalistic and isolationist ENOUGH for you? Youd prefer MORE restrictive travel and immigration policies. Awesome. Well on a relative scale, this next election should be quite easy for you.

Biden called the ban, even at its "dragged" pace, as "xenophobic". So i can assume you will not be voting for him, correct?

Serious question:

Do you see the Democrats denouncing these people? Because I see the democrat Vice President nominee felling the demonstrators to “keep it up”

So it seems they do in fact support this as a whole

I get that Trump got all this backlash and it was silly, but you can't campaign on "draining the swamp and doing what's best for America in spite of the Dems" then hide behind "I didn't do more because the Dems said I was xenophobic." It's a cop out, swampy political thing to do.

Fair assessment. I was hoping you'd come in because you and I have talked a lot about the defund movement and agree on most of it.

I honestly respect your opinion , but you are in error. You are minimizing/downplaying the radical - or should I say REVOLUTIONARY nature of one of our two major political parties. You are denying the reality of what the Democratic Party has devolved into via a strategy of viable deniability . “ Oh it’s not everybody “ while the streets outside the White House is a Democratic-funded war zone and geriatrics are attacked as they leave the White House and a Senator who has already been brutally assaulted is attacked AGAIN just for walking down the streets. You ARE carrying water for them by deflecting and minimizing what is clearly intimidation, arson, vandalism, assault and murder. Just stop.
