I haven't owned a razor in probably 10-15 years. I don't keep a long beard either. I just keep maybe 5 days worth of facial hair trimmed up with some cordless beard trimmers.
I take the guard off to clean up around my neck. It doesn't get as close as a razor but close enough to not have to shave. I'll probably never shave again. I hate shaving
