these stupid fricking anti-vaxxers deserve a railroad spike to the head
A good buddy has had a tragic series of events happen to him, and he developed some awful, just awful rare syndrome last month. Great guy, couple of good kids, just shitty luck, and now he's in ICU hanging on for dear life....
Whats one of the first comments on the gofundme/get well page?
": Did he by chance get a vaccine close to this terrible occurrence?"
Really? Yep, never a lost moment to drum up theoretical nonsense. How about we look into alchemy while we're doing such noble scientific investigation.....

The other day I saw an anti-vaxxer meme posted by a friend of mine.
It was informing people that Raggedy Ann dolls were created by someone after losing their child to an infected smallpox vaccine. The doll supposedly symbolized someone suffering from a vaccination.
A simple google search and two minutes of skimming an article showed how that was a common misnomer, and that the doll's creation was independent of the child's death.
Long story short, these people will look for ANYTHING that meets their confirmation bias.

vaxxers are an odd group. people you would think should know better don't. here is jon stewart lending credence to this crap back in 2005. He has on RFK jr who goes on an anti-vaccination/autism rant and then thanks him for 'getting the word out'.
