Might need another hurricane. The liberals there are terrible.

But muh conventions! They sustained 200 minimum wage jobs this week!

They do a lot more than that. I used to own a couple stores in the Riverwalk and lived off of the conventions for 10 years.

But muh mean posters on a message board!! The (almost) deafening silence from the usual suspects has said it all today. It really has gotten out of control.

Just don't walk after dark, always have three or more in your group, keep your head on a swivel, and have at least one bodyguard. Standard procedure for any American city.

New Orleans is presently ahead of Chicago and Detroit on crime and has reclaimed the murder capital title recently.

frick no. You saw what the last one did. It just invited northern and west coast liberals and gutter punks that make excuses for culcha thus exacerbating the problem.

Some couple from Santa Rosa has been in NOLA 4 months now has a NOLAnative bumper sticker which gives them the right to tell people in the state how to think.

You're just asking for trouble if you have the audacity to walk alone. It's really your fault.

I worked in the HR office for the CVB during college. An event for at the convention center that would host 10k people in 2 halls would employ well over 1000 at the Convention center alone - which includes Freeman who sets up bo0ths, food and beverage, banquet workers, security, maintenance, audio visual, IT ect. Most of these jobs were union based and these workers made well over min. wage. This was about 8 years ago when the city was on the rebuild. Now there is are huge conventions every week. Don't underestimate the man power for putting on one of these thing.

Shhhhhhhhhh

You must only refer to new Orleans as a Beacon of light. It is a peaceful city. United. Zero crime. Peace love and happiness for all.

My wife works downtown and her company had to hire security guards to supervise workers getting from their parking garage to the office, due to muggings in the frickING morning.

That is BS. For decades New Orleans had high crime however shite didnt occur in the tourist areas. In the last 5 years there have been shootings in these areas and the number of violent robberies has gone way up.

Used to be you worried about a pick pocket or a girl with an adams apple. Today you havr to have eyes in the back of your head.
