Tourist returning to his hotel at the Intercontinental Hotel who was targeted by this predator for his wallet and iPhone. He is also in the hospital. This per a reporter friend of mine with one of the local TV stations.

No doubt, but when the crowds mix, bad shite generally happens.

The shite heads committing these crimes were barely 5 years old when Katrina hit. The city had a chance to clean up its act but dropped the ball terribly

I have a question to the idiot NOPD officer who says the NOPD doesn't think this type of attack is a pattern in NOLA. This video says otherwise!

For my entire life, I considered any move away from New Orleans as temporary. Everyone in my family is there. I still have my house uptown. Today is the first day the thought has crossed my mind to say frick it, I'm done, see you for Jazz fest. Hopefully in the next few years a new mayor will come in and prioritize resources properly to get this ship righted. Unlike the detractors, I want New Orleans to suceed.

NOPD was just asked about this incident on WDSU and they said they are making assessments to see if they are related to the other attack.

Summertime is usually bad for this shite. It's nothing new. The kids commit one, get away with it, then keep doing it because they think they are invincible. These are crimes of opportunity and the opportunity exists because of little police presence, reduced charges when they do get caught, of community support telling them some other entity is partially responsible for their actions.

Did not look like a robbery. After the guy punched him and the victim fell, he kind of stood around for a while. Was this confirmed to be a robbery? Or is it probably just the aftermath of a bar fight or bar argument?

Just watched it two more times on a larger screen. Most definitely seems like to be the aftermath of an argument or dispute at a bar.

Sadly, we'll never hear about what happens to the other three that attacked the 2 guys on 200 block of Bienville. I heard a few of the perps have turned themselves in which is a good thing. In 3 months they will have a court hearing where a city attorney will give them a slap on the wrist, make them shake hand with the victims and will be given a restraining order against both parties that will expire in 3 years.

Yes. The way that white guy entered the screen running, you could tell that he had just gotten finished exercising his white privilege on the poor, innocent black guy who was probably just trying to drown his sorrows in a quaint watering hole trying to overcome 400 years of oppression.

We've all witnessed numerous occasions where quiet, docile urban youth are accosted by young, white males without provocation.

This just looks like justice served.
