Jeep enthusiasts ... educate me on the 2006 model.

For reference, I had a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. I purchased it with 12K miles back in 2013. I sold it in 2015 with 18K miles. Strictly used it for the weekends (LSU) and running quick errands.

2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited SPORT UTILITY 2-DR

Dealership is asking just under $23K. Vehicle has less than 37K miles.

I have a 2006 Wrangler and love it. I believe it was the last year of the TJ. Personally, not sure I like that pick-up look but to each his own

I think they're ugly. They're too long to be a 2 door IMO. I assume you want this particular one since it has the truck bed conversion already though, which is understandable. I'd need to see a mod list before commenting on the price.

Can you even make groceries in that thing?

They sold those hardtop half cabs for a while. Basically it was a shorter hard top and people took out the back seat and made the back into a bed. AEV sold a whole kit (Brute) and that's the only one I would buy in that configuration.

friend and I built one of these back in the day (CJ7) looked almost identical except it has a lift kit on it and a winch. Thing was a beast off road.

I haven't looked at any pricing models to determine what price should be listed at. What price did you have in mind?

I've been looking at LJ's for about 6 months now and that one was for sale when I first started looking. Its on the high side for a non rubi.

I'm not necessarily sold on this look either. However, it could accommodate my dog and her kennel, so that's a plus.

For that price you can get fairly nice CJ8 Scrambler, and will not look like an abomination.

Then again I'm biased, it was my first car. How I am still alive is beyond me.

That is a custom built Jeep and its not the normal truck conversion (brute)

figure out who made the top and the rear insert. some manufactures are better than others.

LJ's are sought after, but you also have a a model here with a cut roll cage

I don't know what used 2006 models are going for but I paid 25 for my 2013. I'm shocked to see them asking 23 for a used vehicle that is 11 yrs old.

I know jeeps hold their value but damn.

I don't really care for that model. I have a Wrangler Unlimited and the only problem I have is below average gas mileage, which I knew going in.

48 and all I've replaced/fixed are the tires and rear brake pads. It's smooth as shite on the road, and I've taken long trips with it. People compliment me all the time, even though Lafayette is full of 4 door Jeeps. Maybe it's the Black Forest Green paint job - kinda puts a double move on the authorities.

Yep and actual AEV Brute conversion is the only thing I would consider in that configuration. And after my '05 Rubicon, I wouldn't buy any other model.
