The main transmission mechanism is not saliva, it's aerosols, similar to the vapor she is inhaling straight through the mask in the clip.

EXACTLY. According to the government's own numbers, somewhere around 1% of the general population CURRENTLY have it (symptomatic or asymptomatic). That number has been pretty consistent throughout. Most aren't roaming around, and the "but you may be asymptomatic" number is a fraction of the 1%.
So you are demanding 99+% of COVID free people to wear the useless things because of the <1% that MAY be asymptomic carriers, without any proof that in common use, it has any impact whatsoever.

There are many very well designed studies. Thing is, they prove that n95 masks work and that plain cloth masks are nearly useless. That’s the ridiculous part of this.
