So many of these women who lose their minds seem to live in comfortable, upper middle class areas. Unless I’m mistaken this Clancy woman did not work. Would make for an interesting study.

It's not just the crimes but society's disparate response to the perpetrators of such crimes.
#shout-your-abortion... women love to hail murderous wenches. Men, not so much... not ANY that I can recall. In fact, male criminals that are favorably looked upon are so looked upon by women.

Hmmm. That’s an incredibly telling number considering mothers carry the child for nine months and are generally the child’s primary caregiver and source of nourishment during its first months of life.
Of course, the statistic currently being passed around by the media is that men commit 94% of “family annihilations,” as reported by The Guardian?. What’s conveniently omitted is that “family annihilation” is a narrow category involving multiple murdered relatives, not a synonym for a parent killing a child. With filicide generally, mothers and fathers are much closer. But “men commit 94%” is considerably more useful for the narrative on social media.

I think the discussion is that only women have tried to empathize with the child murderers.

The Didache specifically addresses abortion, so it must have been common enough in the early church of the 2nd century to warrant addressing. The phenomenon isn’t that women want to have abortions or even murder their children post-birth, that’s not new. What seems new is the public support for it by women.When did we become a nation that publicly supports killing off our own offspring?
I think the destruction of the family began its trajectory with voting rights for women. It sucks ti say that because I think many women are smart and capable of that responsibility; however, as a society the gender roles began to blur from that point on, and from there divorce rates, abortion, replacement rates all started going in the wrong direction.
