Animals that don't evolve as fast as human technology deserve to be extinct

Why should we try to save stupid animal species that can't even keep up with our technology? Seems to be a stupid idea. We don't benefit from a diverse ecosystem. God won't let animals that we need go extinct.

Only to a stupid person does this seem stupid. But I mean, this is coming from you, so I don't expect much. I mean, as a biologist, I think we (the US that is) waste efforts on species that will never recover and only play a small role in an ecosystem. But there are very few species on this planet that can "keep up with our technology".

Also: Destroying habitat isn’t exactly “technology.”
That said, I’m not against letting retarded species die - like tiny birds that are too fat to fly - if saving that species requires never letting them live in the wild again.

There is a lot of discussion of this sort with the condors. There are some who think that they are one of the last suffering from the Pleistocene extinctions and that they need to be let go. It's pretty interesting to read about.
