The Audubon Zoo has a whole pack of them. They're one of my favorite animals to see when we go.

There's a thriving exotic pet trade going on over there. It's "underground" but not difficult to find. I watched a Vice special on it a couple years ago. Also saw something on NatGeo about it. They just take pups from the wild.

this should turn out well.

I have mixed feelings on the exotic pet trade. In some situations it's bad for the animals. Other situations it's great for them. I think it's ultimately better that they're just left alone, but for many of those animals that means horrific deaths by way of nature. We're more willing to accept that though because it's "natural." Which is kind of strange if you think about it.

This. They're all about eating their prey alive, usually arse first. They also love to "deliver" impala babies and eat them straight out of the womb.

I watched a documentary where a pack of African Wild Dogs killed a lion and a hyena. There are just too many of them. The narrator said that although they typically do not attack to the death against hyenas and lions, they do when the pups are there.

for wild animals, certainly.

I'm against the exotic pet trade. Pythons in the Everglades being a fine example of why it needs to be criminalized.

But nature is pretty much alway horrific unless man intervenes.

I had a Senegalese Chameleon when I was a kid. I bought it at a pet store though, not Arab oil sheik black market.
