LOL at making this statement on this forum.
Bitching on a forum is one thing. In general I don’t think we are trying to mess with people’s lives and livelihood.
and when we do they deserve it...

Four cows died after they were freed from their pens at an organic farm by German activists – and ate too much concentrated feed.
This sentence is horribly worded.

Family friend had to call the vet to come give him a bill of health on his 26 year old horse because some bitchy people rode by and called the police on him for the horse starving. I wish he would have told the police to piss off. Instead he said "would they rather me shoot him?"

But when there are real starvation cases it’s almost impossible to get authorities to do anything. It’s crazy.

my wife gets this call regularly. People see a horse they think is abused. Sometimes it is. Most times tho, the animal is just old and frail. Owner isn't really neglecting care. I got blasted on here for defending chaining a dog to a tree. Long as he has shelter, water, and feed and isn't left on the chain 24/7, I don't see the issue.

Just move next to a subdivision. You'll learn quick that if you dont sleep on the floor so your dog can sleep on the bed you're cruel to animals. They'd crucify you

well the only thing the owner has to prove is that he's providing shelter, water, and food. It aint as objective as it seems. Lot of the reaction by authorities is based on subjective opinions.

Years ago there was a rodeo out in Cali I think and these activist turned out a lot of the stock. Many were hit by cars and injured. These people killed some of the most cared for livestock in the country

I know of a person who is a bit of a horse hoarder. She’s had a few die of starvation. All skin and bones and a lot these are young horses. It got more attention during the flood because they evacuated. She started moving barns until some of the drama died down. At least one of her horses was taken in by the breeder who nursed him back to health. She hated having to give him back.
Years ago we had 2 come from her care to our barn and it was very touch and go for a while. Some people should never have animals.

We had an incident recently where someone got on social media blasting a horse owner. They claimed the horse had no food or shelter and was malnourished. I pass this horse every day. Its in a dry lot with water, shade trees, and gets fed. Its in no way malnourished. This douche rallied people on social media and got a sack of sweet feed donated and a bale of hay and went on these peoples property and fed the horse. He then recanted and said the horse wasn't as bad as he originally thought. Luckily someone warned him ahead of time not to give the horse all 50lbs of feed

The whole cow and chicken thing always fascinates me because PETA acts like these things are so adept to live in the wild. They have been domesticated for thousands of years.
Cows and chickens are the only animals I can think of that can not survive on their own. They are just too damned dumb. You have wild goats, pigs, dogs, cats, horses, sheep, ducks, geese. Never heard of feral cows or wild chickens.

It was terrifying at Lamar Dixon for the evacuation. I know people just wanted to help but non horse people do not understand how delicate a horse’s digestive system is. They were just dumping things in buckets. We had to post someone up at our stalls to guard until we could gtf out.
Also, that horse in your post could’ve been on a dry lot for a reason like founder. People don’t see grass and they think the horse isn’t being fed.

Most uninformed people would call a healthy horse skinny. Same with cattle. They get use to seeing over fed, fleshy animals and panic when you can actually see any skeletal structure

Maybe an organic farm isn’t the best place to be freeing cows.

People don't realize how difficult it can be to feed a horse. Or a cow for the that matter.
And is the case with most animals, and people, over feeding is more dangerous than under feeding.

It was an expensive lobster that was supposed to be someone's dinner. They "saved" it by putting it in fresh water and it died.
Classic. Reminds me of environmentalists protesting a pipeline but after leaving the scene, a hazmat team was used to clean up after their stay.
In my experience a lot of activists have no clue and just act out thinking they're "saving" something meanwhile ignoring their own ignorance which is often more damaging than the issue they were protesting.
Sticking a saltwater crustacean into freshwater is a tell tale sign those people had no clue whatsoever about the difference between freshwater and saltwater.
