This country went from having Islam enslave them hundreds of years ago to driving out Islam present day. This country deserves respect.

Wasn't this almost a year ago? I thought some shite was going down.

I actually have a hard time finding articles about it for some reason.

LINK
This article from 2013 casts doubt on it, so this story is even older.

quote:

And then just as curiosity about the story had peaked, the Angolan embassy in the US stated categorically that the Angolan government had not banned Islam, or Muslims from practicing their religion.

“The Republic of Angola...it's a country that does not interfere in religion. We have a lot of religions there. It is freedom of religion. We have Catholic, Protestants, Baptists, Muslims and evangelical people,” the statement said.

I thought Japan was first? Or is it not a full ban of Islam in Japan?

Japan doesn't have any rules banning Islam because none of their official documentation even asks about religion from what I can find. So they can't even track that sort of thing even if they wanted to.

Mosques operate in Japan.

There's about 80 mosques total in Japan. There are three in immediate metro Tokyo, here's the largest in the country, Camii which accommodates around 1,800 devotees of the Religion of Pieces-

While I agree that we should do the same here, I am kind of perplexed by this statement. Getting raped is a crime??

Will be interesting to see how this plays out and who follows suit.

Charles Barkley said it best - "I don't know who Angola is but they are in trouble."
