So I’m in the process of moving to an area beteeen Clemson and Anderson, not far from Greenville. Anyone on this board live in that area? I’ll be very new to the area and would appreciate any suggestions concerning shopping, entertainment as well as good organizations to join as an employee.
Thanks in advance!!
JP

Greenville has a loop, so you have that going for you.

Get a boat and enjoy 6-7 months on Lake Keowee. There aren't really any other things to do in the specific area you are talking about.... great place to live.... go into Greenville for concerts, the arts, and food

Downtown Greenville is absolutely beautiful, plenty of stuff to do.

They have a single A (I think single, but maybe not) Red Sox farm team. Their stadium is built with a replica of the green monster. It's a cool park, the games are fun to watch, and all the concessions are cheap. If you like baseball at all, cool place to go.

Powdersville is a small community that will have minimal needs

Piedmont is a rural area that is also in that region

Easley is probably the best spot, a small town, exurb of Greenville, but furthest from Anderson

Moved to that area a year ago, but closer to the Greenville area. Anderson / Easley is probably your best bet. Seneca is on the opposite side of Clemson, but it's super nice and on the lake. Your best entertainment is definitely Greenville (40 minutes). As for shopping, there's a Tanger outlet about 35 minutes south of there in Georgia. That area is mostly people that have lived in this area a long time. Closer to Greenville is more new residents and a younger population.

I've lived in Anderson, Seneca, and Clemson.

I enjoyed the 'mountains' around Keowee and North Hartwell much more than Anderson.

Anywhere along Hwy 123 between Seneca and Greenville is nice.

I lived a block over from the park for 6 months. $1 beer night on Wednesdays were the best, followed by a drunken BBQ feast at Mac's next to the stadium.

Greenville is your best and closest option for any of that.

I’ll be nearest to Anderson and Clemson, I’ve already bought a house on Lake Hartwell, google says 11 miles to Clemson and 11 miles to Anderson. I’ve had a little experience in Greenville as my sons both work and live in Greenville in and near downtown.
I’m very excited about the new life there, I’ve been i Louisiana all my adult life.

Greenville is a pretty vibrant town. Lots to do.

Thinking of moving there in a couple of years.

Once I get moved in, employment will be something of a priority on my list I believe. I’ve worked all my life and I don’t think I can handle not being a part of something.
I enjoy staying busy and the association with coworkers, clients etc.
