Same, but I had to ask, rafting in upstate SC is a little too specific of a topic on a La based forum. Strange timing because our intern here goes to Clemson and loves it and he's been talking to me about buying a kayak.

One thing you'll learn real quick...the rapids are much, much bigger when you're in your little unstable kayak by yourself as opposed to a big, stable whitewater raft with four other people.

I can run a Class V+ in a raft and not blink. I run a Class IV in my kayak and think I'm going over the Niagara falls and am about to die.

Hey Benjamin, here’s a paste below of the last post I entered before we got sidetracked.
I’ll be moved in by the end of February and hopefully job search started by mid March.

Well, I’ve been in Law Enforcement for 25 years. Worked with mentally handicapped prior to that. Was in the logging equipment sales/service industry also for some years. Was an accomplished diesel mechanic at one time but I don’t believe I’m in for going back to that. Lol
I’m hoping to find some organization that I can mean something to and also have that organization mean something to me.
I don’t just want to be somewhere just to get a paycheck.

Greenville is basically what Baton Rouge SHOULD be.

Or could be, without idiots

I mean, geography and location play a pretty big role in making both what they are.

If you’re 11 minutes to Clemson or Anderson it sounds like you’re very close to I-85? That’s going to be very convenient for anything you need to do or anywhere in the region you need to go. Outside of Greenville you’re surrounded by small towns. It’s going to be pretty slow paced and relaxing. Tons of recreation opportunities. If you get a chance definitely take in a few Clemson football games.

Here’s your local BBQ joint. The guys at ESPN claim it’s one their favorites among all of the places they visit during the season. Often there is a line around the building. The Smoking Pig

If you want a low key job apply at the Clemson campus police department.

You have to go eat at a Belgian restaurant called the Trappe Door in Greenville. Call and make a reservation. Place is incredible...make sure to order the Mussels and fries.

Yes, I’m right by I 85. I had fought about looking into something associated with Clemson. I’ve been a firearms instructor and defensive tactics instructor for years. I’ll maybe try to look into their training process.
I’m not completely tied in to staying in law enforcement but absolutely not opposed to it either. I hope to enjoy the job search process.
Thanks Tigerroarz.
