Not sure where you’re getting “millimeter level”

What do you think .8 centimeters represents?

Ah OK. Fair enough.

As I said, it’s an average based on 50 years of measurements using lasers pointed at stationary reflectors.

Here’s a NASA link that describes the science.

By measuring how long it takes laser light to bounce back — about 2.5 seconds on average — researchers can calculate the distance between Earth laser stations and Moon reflectors down to less than a few millimeters. This is about the thickness of an orange peel.

You can tell this is made up because of the metric bs.

The third one is fascinating and should prove to people that 99% of us have no comprehension of the enormity of the universe.

The only thing the 3rd proves is people will believe anything as long as you make it a meme.

To put the enormous scale into perspective, when this happens it could very well be that nothing actually hits each other.

The theory is nothing will collide. Or even come close. But orbits could be affected.

Say on a cosmic scale the average separation of the moon's orbit from earth is 38 meters over a millennium

I’m curious who has been tracking this for the past 1,000 years.

If you are interested in reading a book that really breaks down the cosmos in a way most people can comprehend, look for "Why the Universe Is the Way It Is" by Hugh Ross.

It's only ~135 pages, but it is really fascinating.

There's a reason for this.

Yet, a meteorologist, with certainty can’t tell me whether or not it will rain tomorrow.

So not really a "significant event" then. Not actually an event at all, just BS.

You’re kind of retarded
