Helping a friend move some stuff out of his camp off Bend Rd. In Watson. The Drive in there was no water on the road. Got stuck in some mud (2wd with 33" AT tires) and he got his 4x4 Tundra stuck as well trying to pull me out. Dug both trucks out and by the time we got back to the road out of his camp the river had the road covered. Both trucks exhaust wwere under the water and water level with the grills. About 30 minutes more and we would have both lost out trucks. Anyway, this is going to be a major flood event. Last time it got this high was the great flood of 83? I think it was 83.

No doubt. We were so dedicated trying to dig the trucks out and had no idea the river had risen over 3' in the time it took to free them and cover the road.

Is that the last camp on the left or one of the two on the right.

Didn't the Amite River crest over the bridge in Greenwell Springs/Denham Springs in 1992 after Hurricane Andrew?

Most recent flooding in DS was 99 after TS Allison.

36 foot crest if I remember correctly.
