If Texas sucked more, Louisiana would have a better shot at limiting that.
Not really. There is no industry in Louisiana. That would be true with or without the success of Texas

Unless you are comparing Baton Rouge to the Texas Medical Center (one of the world’s best), Baton Rouge is very good.
Are you one of those SJW’s that are mad that EKL and LSU were merged with OLOL?
By contrast, Louisiana’s health care system is extremely bad in rural areas. Like a lot of states, they have a serious physican shortage outside of the metros. Rural hospitals are struggling in a big way and have to cut services - including the hospital in my home town. Hopefully the new med school at ULM alleviates some of that.
I was comparing Baton Rouge to a like size city in Texas, Plano for example.
I worked at OLOL and Charity, are they bad hospitals?
Absolutely not and they have speciality availability, just very limited.

Probably mostly due to NO and BR.
Don’t leave out Shreveport.
The gf is in PA school and is doing a preceptorship at LSU Health Shreveport, they had 11 GSWs in a 24 hour period recently. They get multiple a day. The schools in Shreveport are garbage except for Byrd, Loyola (private) Evangel (private) Calvary (private) and Caddo-Magnet. There’s around 7-8 other public schools though that are completely down the shitter.

I will never expand in Louisiana. Entirely too penal. Finding workers is hard and insurance is stupid high

That’s basically in the ghetto. You won’t see this at WK pierremont or Schumpert.

Yeah but Shreveport has basically turned into a massive ghetto with some exceptions thrown in there. All along 49 and 20 are ghettos.

This has been the case for a long time, not something new. From downtown to the airport on 20 is ghetto.
The nicer areas of Shreveport are still the same as they were the 25 years I lived there.

Why would you want to live in a state that’s good for business? I don’t want any carpet baggers coming in here thinking they can strike it rich
Posted on 7/11/18 at 8:18 am to TH03
Yeah I know I didn’t need to explain that to you. It has gotten worse though. It has gotten worse though. I am surprised though that it hasn’t spilled over into Bossier City, yet.
It’s gotten so bad though that people are moving north to Benton or south. If Bossier had a Calvary or Evangel or Byrd type school Bossier’s population would be booming even more.

That started in the 90s. Ellerbe blew up and north bossier used to be cow pastures before the Walmart on airline was built. frick that traffic though.

Parkway is good, but just down south in the middle of almost nowhere.

Yeah but he left out Austin and San Antonio to make his point.
Damn right I did, but the vast majority of pro-Texas anecdotes center around Houston and Dallas. You're in this thread talking about how many trees you have, which is a very eastern Texas thing to say.

Math not a strong suit for CNBC. Look at the individual scores for LA and AL. Neither had an individual score even or above their overall. What kind of bullshite is this?
They had the raw category scores on the original link. They've been updated to show the ranking out of 50 for each state now.

I’m in north Texas.
And yea, Texas is huge so you’ll get wooded areas and the desert type out west. It’s just the nature of where it’s located and how big it is.

Texas comes across as that guy that is well dressed, clean shaven, does everything pretty good, but is still gay.

And Louisiana is the guy peeking over at his dick at the urinals.

Probably just drunk and can’t stand straight, but Louisiana has no problem with it’s gay neighbor
