Interesting to see both #1 and #2 on this list have CF Industries facilities in their town.

I am also looking for a common denominator. All these towns probably have something in common. Does anybody have any ideas?

How does Bay St. Louis make this list (43)?

I feel like I can name 20 worse places in MS alone easily

The Donaldsonville test scores are the only thing preventing Ascension from being #1 in the state for education

Those “grades” that these schools are given aren’t based on the letter grades the kids earn alone. Swing by your local school and see what all is factored into those scores.

hey have Perry, GA ranked on their list, but their criteria is shite. Houston County has one of the better school systems in Georgia and crime is relatively low, but Macon, GA isn't on the list and it is one of the worst cities in Georgia to live

I live in the area, and 100% agree...if Macon didn't have an army of cops protecting downtown on the weekends, it would collapse in on itself...

West Memphis is the Greenville of Arkansas (flat, sprawling concrete shithole), but at least you can just hop the bridge and be in downtown Memphis.

A few years ago I was driving from Memphis to Little Rock on a business trip.

I knew nothing about West Memphis and stopped there for breakfast. It was like 8am on a weekday and I got approached by a crackhead at McDonald's, another while I was pumping gas. There was a package liquor store on what seemed like every corner. I decided I better get the frick out of there

Youngstown probably lost enough of its population that it does not qualify as a city anymore.
