Any city can post pictures of neighborhood bars, restaurants, and venues...Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Austin, Portland, Seattle, LA, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, etc...

Tennessee is an income tax free state. That flexibility alone should have it off this list

so what does your girl think about all the development in nashville?

i guess its always cool to hate where you are born.

"can't wait to get out of this shitty town!"

ETA those are *AREAS*/neighborhoods, not bars or restaurants. Nashville has many many many great clean places to live, just showing a little local color from each.

Those are all pretty elite places to live (outside of Atlanta )

If you have a good income, most decent size cities are going to be nice

Traffic is getting pretty bad here too. Luckily, I don't have a far commute at all from downtown.

I live amongst them...in my neighborhood at least. I enjoy them though. The hippies and hipsters are what makes certain cities unique and interesting.

no. unless you've lived there you can't say that. austin is..weird. its unnerving to me. all those 15 year old homeless lost kids wandering around.

no thanks.

east nashville hipsters are WAAAAAAY different. they're just gentrifying east nashville and yuppies in skinny jeans.

i too have spent much time going out near 5 points and also in austin and i can tell you there is NOTHING the same about 5-points hipsters and austin-ites.

I like how liberals like to go on about how red states are poor, have the most welfare, etc. If you judge a state by levels of consumption, which I think is more indicative of wealth, then you find red states are in much better shape than the guy in SF that makes $250k a year but has two roommates in a flat and has to commute an hour to and from work. While "poor" Billy Bob has a two thousand sqft house, a front and back yard, two cars in the drive way, has a small commute, etc

Anytime a liberal comes with that poor red state welfare state mooching myth, you show them this. They can dispute that its a conservative website but they cannot dispute the facts that lie within the article.

Also, you are correct. It is more affordable for poor folk to live in red states than it is to live in those blue states with big cities. In addition, property taxes are way lower in the South. FTW

Red states mooching states debunked

All of these states will be rendered meaningless when Trump flames out and loses the electoral map in impressive fashion this fall.

LOL. The way the polls are falling, he gets all the gray states, get fl, ga, miss, penn, ohio, iowa, Colorado, and all the red states. My calcuations as of now from the polls, he hits 271 electoral votes. He steals Oregon and its over.

NWA is actually considered one of the best places to live. Fayetteville was 3rd on one list I saw.

You can argue about the order but it isn't exactly a surprise that any of those states made the list.

Nevada surprised me with how trashy it is. I thought it would be nicer with no corporate income taxes, scenery, tourism money, and tons of open land. Henderson and parts near Tahoe are okay but that's about it.

I, for one, am genuinely grateful for these sorts of polls and websites that put that kind of information out there. We have remained sane, and it really isolates the liberals in our area. It helps them to flee our area and free to touch each other.

I live in Louisiana... I love it... I don't matter much on the grans scale of things, But they can rank LA as the worst all they want... BUT whoever made this list has NEVER been down the Amite River and along the Diversion Canal and ALL the wildlife and PEACE that can com from that... People are DIVERSE.. This list is NOT........... TIME rules ALL.. IT NEVER LOSSES,, But of all those states on the list.. When I get to Blind River Bar or Prop Stop... I couldn't care less what time it is... Maybe if MORE people learned to RELAX and realize that some things just AREN'T that important.. This state would be off this stupid list...........
