The same all these posts become. Either you follow the constitution, or you do not.

I just wish folks were more upfront about ignoring the constitution because they don't like it.

At least they'd be honest. I can at least respect honesty.

The constitution is interpreted by the courts based on how they apply it to cases that come before them. You like your personal interpretation of it. I get it.

You sure you want to look this up?

Gotta love how he keeps moving the goalposts and ignoring the fact that we've always had the guns (even scary rifles with "high capacity" magazines).

That'll never happen because it makes it easier to know who to watch in case you need to use the Second Amendment.

Wasn't moving the goal posts. Just noticed how it spiked up immediately after the timeframe he presented. I'm all for context, which many in here will purposely omit when trying to push a position.

Random question...do you guys think ALL guns should be legal? Even the 50 caliber ones, armor piercing rounds, etc? Just curious if there's a line and where you draw it.

ETA: Centinel..."all" was in there from the start here as well.

And this was never intended. I blame John Adams 100% for the abortion of a court system we have today.

We have a method to address issues that arise with interpretation of the constitution...it's called the amendment process. But that's too hard so we should just ignore it when it doesn't fit our agenda.

And as I've said, I didn't respond to your first post. I cam in after an hour or so being away and responded to another post....which didn't have "all".

“50 caliber ones” are legal. Spoken like someone well versed in gun ownership

Because I don't ignore law when I find it inconveniently in the way of my narrative.

Ignore my lack of knowledge of different gun calibers. The question stands. Is there any type of gun...let's just say, up through the biggest guns the military uses (so I don't frick it up) that you think should be off limits to the public to purchase? Or are you of the belief that any gun of any power, capacity, range, size, etc should be available to everyone?

It’s black, has a detachable magazine, a barrel shroud, and a folding stock. Yep it’s scary!

As far as guns go I don’t think there should be a such thing as an illegal gun.
