I hate BO as much as the next guy but you act like he has unlimited powers. It's not all his fault.

He can't make a speech on camera from the heart that ever feels sincere. And after this situation we will watch his comments as he does nothing and says nothing of meaning. frick him.

It really is. Less people have died from violence in the 21st century than pretty much any other century.

This is the high mark, peace wise.

Yes i absolutely am and the freedom of speech gives me the right to do so. This country was founded with the thought that its citizens can petition and criticize its government without fear of repercussion.

No but I can read and understand statistics and according to them we are actually living in the most peaceful time in history.

Google it. There are tons of articles about it.

You can't, on one hand, want info on what's going on in the Middle East from a different source than the government yet still call these reporters dipshits. They're there because there's a market for knowing what's going on driven by the same people calling them stupid

this may be. But I agree somewhat with Terd that these reporters should know better than to go traipsing across the desert in search of the news. These guys are freelance journalists no? Then why put yourself at so much risk? leave that to the networks.

I kinda get what you're saying here, big guy. I'm sure Obama is doing something... what I don't know... but he certainly does give the impression that he really doesn't give a shite. It almost seems like he's just leisurely enjoying the rest of his time.

This is a result of better, more accurate weapons and greater dialogue between nations. Not to mention the fear of getting nuked has kept many countries at bay I'm sure.

What do you think Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi would do if the U.S. government made one his fellow terrorist's kneel down on the White House lawn and put a bullet through his head while broadcasting it live on National Television for the entire world to see?

they would love it. Making a martyr for the rest of them? Just give them more of a reason to want to kill us.

They usually have a contract already before they head over there. They're writing for someone. I'm not saying I would go or that it's not dangerous. But to put this result on any of them is fricked up.
