you should join AA's rewards programs and double dip, get one of those AA credit cards that they push on the flights, last time I looked they start off with 60k? miles, especially if your company has you expensing things
Yeah I have the AA rewards. Hell, I have them all. But traveling back and forth to Africa and the Middle East the past 6 or years I’ve always used Delta/KLM/Air France. And of course the Delta Reserve Card. Makes me feel like I’m starting over lol.

The FC box meals are a joke, but I will say the confetti cookie is legit.

And people complain to me about Southwest all the time. I've never had any problems with that one like I have with American Airlines, United, Delta, etc. American Airlines is the worst of them all too.

I actually had a good experience with American last week. Maintenance issue with our plane and they had us in another with only a 45 minute delay. People still complained

It was amazing. We stayed a little north of Kona around the Mauna Lani resort area. But went to a couple of the beaches on the island, got in a round of golf, hiked the crater rim trail lf Mt. Kiluea, and then Saturday took a short hop from Kona to Oahu to see Pearl Harbor. Also went to a luau in actual Kailua Kona, which was awesome! Y’all will have a great time. Hated to leave.

I flew AA for the first time in a long time this weekend and it was a disaster.
Austin to DFW flight was delayed to the point that I missed my connection in DFW. Thankfully the Agent put me on United through Houston getting me in on time.
On the way home the inbound to BTR from DFW is delayed and then the gate breaks so we board from the ground gates in the rain. No ramp crew either so the pilot is loading our bags onto the plane. End up leaving 20ish minutes late and get to DFW. Rolling delays start happening and we ultimately leave DFW over 3 hours late since we were missing a pilot and finally make it back to Austin around midnight.

Pretty much everything in western culture is breaking down these days. Airlines are no exception.

I'd like to pile on as I have such a large tome of bad experiences with American I would have to check it at the gate were I to fly with it. But, in the last month I flew to NYC (2x) and to Houston and Madrid and didn't have a single delay. So, there is hope.

quote:I had the same happen to me last month from ATL to DC. All that drama and we ended up arriving in DC 17 minutes earlier than our arrival time.
I will say a recent Delta annoyance was when I had a flight to DC and I got an email saying the flight was cancelled but when I looked on the app it showed On Time. I called to inquire and after a 30 minute hold they said “oh no it’s not cancelled, but the departure time is 5 minutes later than originally scheduled. Would you like to book a different flight?” I said nah I can spare 5 minutes but that was a very dramatic email for a 5 minute delay.

Flew Condor two weeks ago and flying back later this week. Not impressed. I’ve heard Singapore airlines is by far the best.

And one of my best buddies is a senior AA pilot.

I get to do Heathrow in July. At least it's an overnight layover so I may have time to clear fast track security and make my connection
