This has nothing to do with their melanin content and everything to do with their character. No one gets harassed in 2019 for politely enjoying a movie. I worked at a theater for a couple of years, while rare we certainly have gone into theaters and asked to see people's tickets. Usually it's if the people are acting rude or suspicious. It sounds like these people never showed their ticket to the usher assuming they had one at the time which can certainly be a red flag depending on if they were asked before they went in

You cant get into the theatre without showing your ticket. You show the ticket, they break off half and you enter. So if they were in there without showing the ticket, they would have had to gone seen another movie and snuck in this movie after which didnt happen.
