Meh, a few "SurePost" packages have been late for me, but that is offset by the fact that some get delivered on a Sunday which will not happen with the other carriers.
On a related note, I cannot recall any Amazon Prime deliveries being handled by FedEx in my 3 years with them. It is all UPS or USPS for me. I'd imagine that is based on location or something.

I rather USPS. I've never had issues and they deliver to my house before noon. UPS is usually after 5pm

So if they don't really show up in the 2-day window, why do they make the drivers deliver packages on sundays then? Those people deserve a day off, since the mail never stops.

USPS already delivers amazon packages on Sundays.

For sure. Luckily most of my stuff is delivered by UPS still so it only happens about once a month.

When I get things through usps they mark delivered so they hit their 2 days then bring it a day or 2 later

They do not deliver in my town on Sundays. I've been told before that Amazon pays USPS to deliver on Sundays and most of the places will mark it "undeliverable" for whatever reason and deliver it Monday or Tuesday instead.
IMO if you're getting paid to do a task and they're making up some BS excuse then that is fraud.

If I'm not mistaken, the "delivered" notification is actually when UPS or FedEx hand it off to the USPS using SurePost or SmartPost, respectively. That is how it works in my experience at least.

If your order if on the guaranteed delivery day by Prime and it doesn't come on time, then you can contact customer service and they will give you a free month of Prime.

Every Prime order I have ever had shipped through USPS always arrives a day late. Not hyperbole, it ALWAYS arrives a day late, without fail.

They've gotten really stingy about that with me. I guess because my stuff is late so often. I'd never pay for prime When I call to say it says delivered and left by door but it is not there. They usually do a reorder for me.

Am I the only person that never has issues with Amazon and usps? These threads happen a lot, and I keep waiting for it to get me.
But based off the total amount ordered thread the other week, I don't use it as much as others.

UPS doesn't deliver much on Sat so they will drop off a package that should be delivered on Saturday to a USPS hub Friday and then all bets are off.
Nearly 100% of my Saturday deliveries with Amazon are via FedEx. The other 6 days its USPS when the item is available at the Houston DC.
I almost look forward to the item coming from Chattanooga or another DC because its carried via UPS to make it within the 2 day period. We've come to find out that the issue with the shipping isn't the USPS transporting the deliveries from Houston to Baton Rouge, but its the local BR stations that simply don't care.

That happens to me often, especially with Sunday delivery. I live in a condo downtown that is staffed 24/7, and I swear they don't even attempt to deliver.
Eta: But the good thing about living downtown is that even if an item is shipped smartpost, UPS will deliver more often than not.

UPS is starting Saturday deliveries for Amazon in hopes of taking back that contract. hopefully the USPS shipping is short lived

i'll occasionally get stuff from amazon through the USPS, but more often than not it's amazon's own delivery vans (we have a distribution warehouse here) or on trac. especially the saturday and sunday deliveries.
wish we had amazon fresh here, i'd never leave the house
