1 Add new address
2 select new address when checking out
3 select 2 day free shipping
4 specify to the shipper no USPS

I cannot recall any Amazon Prime deliveries being handled by FedEx in my 3 years with them. It is all UPS or USPS for me. I'd imagine that is based on location or something.

it happens, but not normally.

My office orders about 2 million worth of product from Amazon a year, sometimes double that. So we get quite a lot of shipments from them. I'd say about 5% are FedEx

Just bumping the thread to add to tOP. Tuesday it stated my package would be delivered by 8pm that evening. I doubted that was correct as it didn't even show as out for delivery yet on the tracking information. Yesterday it states it will be here by 8PM today. Today it states it was delivered and left on the front porch(at a time while I was home).

I call up customer service and am told that they actually have until tomorrow for delivery and believe there was an input error. I ask why they would leave a detail d account as to where the item was left if they weren't planning on delivery until tomorrow. The lady on the phone was nice enough, but it's obvious that the package was either lost or USPS lies about delivery dates to make themselves look good to Amazon. I went ahead and asked if there was anyway to avoid USPS delivery, but of course there isn't.

TL;DR
Amazon prime 2 day delivery
Stated delivery by 8PM Tuesday
Wednesday stated delivery by 8PM Thursday
Thursday said delivered and left on porch, even though I was home and it's clearly not here
Now lady from Amazon states it will be delivered tomorrow

Every dang time I order something and it is shipped USPS it is guaranteed to NOT make it within the 2 day prime shipping.

I wouldn't mind as long as they keep tacking on free months to your membership

Never had a problem with 2 day prime shipping.

I used to get all my deliveries 3-4 days instead of 2. Every time I complained they gave me either $10 GC credit or free month of Prime.

I miss those days, didn't pay for like 8 months

Did I already post in this thread? If not, I meant to and got distracted.

So lately my amazon orders havent been left at my door. Pretty annoying because I hate having 2 day shipping only to have to go to the post office to pick it up a day or more later depending on if im out of town with work.

So I went to the post office the other day to pick up my packages, and asked USPS if there was any way I could get the carrier to always deliver it at my door. The guy asked "Do you live on the third floor?"

I said "yes" because I do. I live on the third floor of a 3 story apt complex.

So he tells me that USPS isnt required to go higher than the second floor if there isnt an elevator. It is up to the mail carrier if he wants to go any higher. I mustve gotten a new carrier delivering my shite since I never get it anymore.

SO that fricking sucks. Dont get a gd job delivering packages if you cant deliver packages up two flights of stairs.

I have had issues with Amazon using USPS, was told by my local mailman who is trustworthy to file a missing package claim. After I made the claim my package "magically" showed up two days later.

They will give you an extra free month of prime if it's late

USPS is by far my favorite shipping service where I live

FedEx is the absolute worst and often leaves my packages elsewhere or purposely doesn't deliver on time because they just didn't feel like making my route

Fortunately they don't ship via FedEx much

Ups is great to me as well

USPS if shipped via 2-3 day delivery (priority) is by far best bang for your buck

I guess all the companies are different elsewhere

FedEx is total and utter shite where I live. They even lied about attempted deliveries that I waited for all day and they never Came. They didn't cone cuz I was home all day for an important package and they never left a note on the door. They do me this quite often and one time the guy straight up admitted he just was lazy

there are different types of fed ex drivers, the normal fedex home and business are actually private subcontractors. They own their own truck, etc... or work for someone who owns it. People can get royally screwed

I'd take the USPS over UPS right now. I've got a camera ordered from the East Coast, paid 2nd say shipping (which is usually 3 days here) and I'm still waiting for it after a week.

Also as someone noted some prime things clearly state it may take 1-3 days of processing.. that's not on them. It's the company selling through them that they will honor a return for. The 2 day shipping would start once it's shipped.

If there is a problem contact your local USPS about it. Amazon, even if not their fault, will credit you a free month of prime added on to your account for every time you don't get your package on it's said delivery day! This could add up to several months. You can contact then via chat online is my favorite preference.
