Why couldn't you equip cars with stun gun or taser technology or maybe even mace/pepper spray to deploy manually or remotely if the car is entered illegally? I'm sure it would be some sort of violation of the criminal's rights or something. I guess if one of them died or some shite, it would be the car owner's fault. Just a thought.

I'm constantly amazed at how Americans 100% forgot the idea of personal privacy after 9-11.
I get that younger people simply don't remember a time when they either weren't being watched or filming their entire lives 24/7, but what is the draw for those 40+ who actually do remember not being surveilled constantly?

I wonder where the footage is stored. I live in NOLA. Kids had a shootout outside my windows a couple weeks ago. We have very conspicuous cameras around the perimeter of our roof. Cops didn’t even ask to see our footage so I don’t know useful this would be as a crime deterrent, but I’m sure insurance companies will love it.
