Right there with you. Not sure why 7 out of 10 taps at bars seem to be IPAs these days. They taste like dog shite. Give me lagers/ambers/stouts

Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker.

Unpopular Opinion: Most people don’t actually like the taste of bitter craft beers, but order them because they think it’s what you drink.
Unpopular Opinion 2: Beer was better when it tasted like beer.
I get people who want something more than light beer, but there was a day when most high end beer brands still tasted like beer. There’s a lot of good stuff to drink today, but far too much of it is bitter or doesn’t drink well, and isn’t worth $10 a pint.

They’re not all bad. You need to find small batches and avoid the mass produced crap like New Belgium or Sierra Nevada to find a good one though. Give me a bock over an IPA all day.

I have been paying $8-12 a beer since 2008 or so

I pay $2.50 for a 22oz PBR and $3.25 22oz Miller lite at Twin Peaks. You just go to the wrong places. It’s also $2.99 shots. Their happy hour is the peaks drinking time

Actually was the beginning of the end of west coast IPAs. Now everything is New England style and while nothing wrong with this, I do miss a good west coast ipa that you really don’t see anymore.

I’ve had Juicifer, Ghost, and Gleason. Just not my thing. I’ve never met someone who actually likes IPAs irl. See tons of fans online though… makes me wonder.

Idk
Maybe my tastebuds changed but I remember thinking all the IPAs used to be very bitter. Not the case for me these days. I like the hazy stuff though

I used to get Pliny back when I lived in Denver. Love that beer

Alcohol of moderate quality is generally expensive. A higher-end, high abv craft beer can get expensive on tap no doubt.

This one is decent. I like Pisgah Greybeard and Boojum King of the Mountain more than anything. Not sure y’all can get those down in LA.
