IPA, IIPA, IIIPA, IVPA. It was so unnecessary and comparable to the old razor blade wars.

Yea...when I saw breweries coming out with triple dry hopped version of already really hoppy IPAs I knew the whole thing had jumped the shark. I see those as essentially the same as ordering the hottest wing sauce and suffering through 2-3 wings to say you did it. There's just no way it's enjoyable or refreshing.

Freemason is $7 a pint here, it’s yummy so I don’t care.

Unpopular Opinion: Most people don’t actually like the taste of bitter craft beers, but order them because they think it’s what you drink.

Unpopular Opinion 2: Beer was better when it tasted like beer.

Opinions based on knowing absolutely nothing about beer or what people actually prefer.

The American IPA traces back to when the British brewed beer with extra hops and alcohol content to preserve its taste better on overseas voyages and to have more character fresh from the brewery. Modern-era bottling and kegging has more to do with the bland kind of beers your enjoy than you understand.

Right there with you. Not sure why 7 out of 10 taps at bars seem to be IPAs these days. They taste like dog shite. Give me lagers/ambers/stouts

Not a big beer drinker but completely agree. IPA taste like wet straw.

$9 a beer. I feel like I'm getting ripped off paying $2.50 when going out to eat. I'd rather drink $1 Coors Lights at home.

Restaurants too?

Yeah, I am sure there are some exceptions, but the normal price point is around $6 unless it's a high-gravity special release.

Probably because that’s what sells. It’s fine if you don’t like IPA’s but the reality is they’re very popular so they get more taps at bars and restaurants.

I don't mind as long as crawfish prices don't go up.

I'm not a beer guy at all, but that overly bitter style of IPA hasn't been the trend for quite a while. Maybe it's making somewhat of a comeback.

I mean it is a trade off for all the snobby bitches you get to hit on, and buy $15 drinks for.

Hole in the wall, baw.

It’s not. Overly hopped hazy IPA’s are still the predominant trend in IPA’s. Good ones of that style aren’t bitter at all. There are a lot of bad ones out there though.
