Am I the Only one who Finds Dan Patrick to be Annoyingly Smug?

I love the show, but not for DP. The Danettes are awesome and make that show about 10,000,000x better than if it was just DP with guests. Dude just comes off as a know it all and extremely smug to the point of annoyance.
Admins: move this to the MSB if needed.

Not smug. He comes across as creepy. I listened to a show a few times and he was heavily breathing into the mic was talking about staring at women in public. And the radio set looks like a high schooler's bedroom.

Yeah, everybody seems to want to like him as an alternative to ESPN programming, but I just don't enjoy the radio show. He does have a wise guy/smug thing and always asks questions trying to be edgy/unique that come off awkward. The danettes make everything worse IMO. I haven't listened in a while, though, maybe things are better now. DP is best in a TV anchor role.

I get what you are saying, but he kind of does know it all. He is one of those guys that knows everything, and he knows he does. I just take it with a grain of salt because the show is good and he is really knowledgeable.

His show puts me to sleep more than smug... I like him better doing Sports Center/ halftime highlights.

Not nearly as annoying as the Kenny Mayne guy tho.
I like DP's interviews. I feel like I get a better understanding of the personality and get to know the guy they're interviewing better than just asking the stock questions with generic responses. He does seem really creepy in regards to women and in his movie cameos.

i listen to his morning show sometimes, I wish they would stay a bit more on topic of sports, it doesn't take long for the Dannettes to interrupt and the show goes off the rails about useless crap

No, I don't think he knows near as much as he acts like he does. Like today, in his arrogance, he tried to tell Raiders fans how they should feel after they voted to go to Vegas yesterday. Funny part about that is most people feel the exact opposite about it as he does.

He interviewed Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Dale's wife a few weeks back and it was strange how he interacted with the wife. His interview with Dale Jr. was great though.

Part if the premise is exactly that. It is what made the original Sportcenter so great. I'm sure he does have an ego that needs to be stroked, but he has deserved a lot of it. Took on Sportcenter/ESPN and is one of the few that has survived if not thrived.

Not to hijack the thread but I like the female producer on R&K, she sits in the back & gets on air every now & then. Easy to see R&K both having to struggle to not get into too many discussions with her. And she's single fwiw.
