Alright Dallas folks - Is it worth living in Dallas if I have a job in Ft. Worth?

I was just invited for a job interview for a company near the Ft. Worth airport.
I've been reading up on the two cities and feel like Dallas is way more my style. However, from what I know of Dallas suburbs (north part of the city), I'm looking at about a 40-50 mile commute.
We'd be roughing it most likely for the first year in a cheap apartment before my wife gets a full time job putting us at around $110k/year combined. Not rockstar status, but certainly not poor (in the real world. obviously starving in the OT world).
Could anyone sell me on living in Ft. Worth? School systems are our priority.

Literally nothing could ever convince me to move into these mega cities. Efffffff that.
ETA: $110,000 combined income in Dallas? Enjoy being a poor

Well, if you use two "greater than" symbols, I mean, it must be legit!

No stupid live in cow town. It’s better anyway

Live in North Dallas now. There is no amount of money that would make me want to do the FW to Dallas commute daily. FW has a lot of charm and some things to do, move there.

What is your "style"?

Idk, but don't let these retards tell you Fort Worth is better than Dallas.

Fort Wort is awesome and way more affordable. I prefer Fort Worth over Dallas as a city.

Urban. Interested in art, food, and culture from around the world. Professional sports are a plus. Fast paced life. Ability to pursue jazz music as a side gig.

Just live in Fort Worth, cut your commute time, find a decent place and save money

Fort Worth is a very liveable city. I always thought of it as the boring neighbor, but it would probably surprise you how much is going on there. People are friendly and straightforward there for the most part. At your income level plus the drive, it would be an easy decision.

I've lived in both and FW is now my home. Will never live in Dallas. Ever. Again.

Ft Worth has a distinct character. Dallas is a generic, soulkilling collection of people from other places praying for an opportunity to get away.

Y'all are doing a good job here.
Is there more character in Ft Worth than cattle? I've read three websites that discuss extensively the cowboy/cattle culture of Ft. Worth.

Ft. Worth is supposed to have lots to offer, but I've never lived there.
