And how people posting today is "hurting them" because they didn't have a mom in their life and blah blah blah. Apparently those of us with loving Mothers need to not acknowledge today because it rubs it in their face.

I love social media, but man people do anything for attention these days. All the comments are filled with "sad emoticons" and thoughts and such for them to have strength today.

As much as those people suck. Posting 'Happy Mother's Day' on FB is something you're doing for yourself not your mother. How bout you try being an adult and not post everything in your life to a stupid fricking website.

I find it to be the complete opposite. The only reason I'd post happy Mother's Day is for my mom to see it. I couldn't care less about anyone reading my status, it's just for her to know I care enough to make a status. The way so many of y'all melt on here about Facebook is pretty funny though.

shite man. Do it old style and mail them a hand written letter. LOL

Nah, I use Facebook. Just saying I find it a bit odd to feel compelled to say misc year round greetings on Facebook. I think it's pretty self-indulgent.

This reminds me of the Vets who try to eliminate fireworks on 4th of July. Unplug and go camping if it's that big an issue for you, and this is coming from someone who thinks mother's day, father's day, and Valentine's day are trash made by Halmark to sell cards.

Unless you are a 16 year old girl, why in the hell would you even be on Facebook?

Christmas was adopted from the Pagens to celebrate the Son of the true God who came to earth, performed a bunch of superhuman feats, was cast out by the humans, and ultimately destroyed by them. I of course mean Hercules, I mean Jesus.

Jesus is based on a historical person who we can anchor firmly in recorded history. Any possible human origin for the Hercules figure and its cognates is lost in the mists of time.

However, the idea that the resurrection story of Jesus is based on pagan mythology is unconvincing for a number of reasons. The alleged pagan parallels to Jesus’ resurrection are (1) unclear, (2) have late testimony that postdates Christianity, (3) may not be referring to an actual resurrection, (4) lack historical evidence, (5) misunderstand the Jewish influence on early Christianity, and (6) fail to explain the positive evidence for Jesus’ resurrection.

For these reasons, among others, the vast majority of scholars reject the notion that the resurrection of Jesus was borrowed from pagan mythology

I'm sure you know more than they do Breesus.

You would think it would be easy not to click on Facebook that day if you know it will trigger you.
