I wouldn't call it an accident, I just don't think she even realized in the moment she was holding an American flag. It was just something in her hands that Rapinoe said to get rid of (the heinous bitch), so she did.
More indicative of our entire culture of celebrations and selfies and shite than anything un-American. Just not very conscientious.

Rapinoe did what she did to gain notoriety and get people to pay attention, and it worked. I didn't even know the wwc was going on until that incident.
Anyone else care to notice that? The wwc was going on for a while before she had her little Kris Jenner PR moment.
And it worked. People talked about her day and night, and more people tuned in to the games than would have otherwise, both to cheer and jeer. Now, she's doing lesbian photo shoots in SI and will almost certainly land a broadcasting job at one of the super left wing networks.
But it's a natural response to disrespecting the flag and country, and it seems that there will always be enablers who encourage this crap, so I don't see a solution.
But for the career snowflakes who try to call conservatives snowflakes, yeah okay. Let's burn a rainbow fig flag during "pride month" and see what happens. These people lose their shite when a straight guy plays a gay guy in a movie.

She's knelt before, and made a point to talk about ignoring the flag and anthem during the WC, and why she did it.
And at first, it had nothing to do with Trump. They made it about Trump afterwards, so that (still weak) excuse doesn't fly.

She didn't during the the WC. She has before in other games, but US Soccer instituted a rule against, so she's been standing since that rule. She doesn't sing the anthem or stand with hand over heart.
