Two observations:

1. Not buying that this guy was some triathlon runner who just so happened to be cruising through this white neighborhood.

2. These rednecks need to go to prison.

Those guys would be in prison and he’d be alive most likely.

Would they, though? Because it’s been over two months since they KILLED him and they haven’t even been charged yet.

It was self defense at that point as he fired his pistol to prevent his own death or serious injury.

If true, video would have helped him be less of a villain. Just an a-hole.

Yeah. Don’t think so either.

I'm wondering if the victim was wearing earbuds. Something we wouldn't be able to see on that video... but would explain why "the jogger refused to comply" to the orders given by the aggressors. It would also help explain why the victim just casually jogged around the truck the way he did. He may not have even realized the truck double parked on the road in front of him was even a threat.....

But the McMichaels would tell police that day that Arbery had recently been seen sticking “his hand down his pants,” leading them to believe he might be armed, they said.

These fricking morons think they are cops

They think that’s some kind of defense for what they did.

So they are saying if I have a concealed carry I can’t stick my hand in my pants and adjust it without a random civilian pulling a gun on me?

The biggest flaw in their fricked up line of reasoning is they think it’s their job to stop this guy. Dumbasses deserve everything they get.

Any relations to the two who need to be taken out back of the courthouse to save cost?

I mean, this point is irrelevant right? He doesn’t have to comply with any orders they give him whether he hears them or not.

The video is far from conclusive either way.

Here's what I do know, no one on this board knows enough to make an informed decision on whether there was criminal conduct on the part of the shooter.

It seems every time we have one of these types of shootings, all the "experts" come out of the woodwork to tell us whether it was or was not a justified homicide.

Let the system sort it out, 9 out of 10 times, it gets it right.

I would agree with this in most situations. But this one looks to be pretty cut & dry

Aright guys anchor the thread. Vito says the VIDEO isn’t conclusive so no one should have opinions on this.

Please enlighten us. Name one scenario, including what we already know and have seen, that results in no criminal conduct on the part of the shooter?

What about this particular situation made you think tone policing this thread was a good idea?

You can't point a gun at a stranger and then claim self defense when he defends himself.

Is that what you're arguing?

I’m arguing that had he not tried to fist fight multiple people with guns he’d still be alive. I’m not saying the rednecks were in the right, btw. I said they were going to jail, deservedly so. But I’m confident if he just told them to pound sand and keep going he’d still be alive and those rednecks would still be in jail for assault instead of murder.

Legally, maybe.

But let's say this is technically a good shoot.

It's still a bullshite outcome because these two pretend cops created the situation where the shooting became "justifiable" (assuming it did).

So if anything, in those situations public outrage/condemnation becomes even more important. We don't want the laws to be adjusted to account for people bending the rules, it puts us all in jeopardy. So what we can do is condemn the shite out of these guys regardless of whether the inevitable "he reached for something and I got scared" defense proves sufficient.

They were chasing him in a truck with guns drawn. Why would he think he could outrun them?

So If someone pointed a shotgun at you, your response would be “tell them to pound sand” & just keep going about your day?

I get what you’re saying, but he had already tried turning around and running the other way before they cut him off again.

The only other option would have been to call the police (assuming he had his phone). I know what people on this board think, but it’s got to be awfully hard for a young black man to call the police when it’s a white vs. black he-said she-said. Trust obviously isn’t high.

He tried running around the opposite side of where the driver was who was already outside. He was ran up on by someone with a gun, in what world would you be confident in that scenario and be able to simply tell someone off and keep running away?

Fair enough, have your opinion, but just know this, your opinion right now is worth about the same as all of the people who were of the opinion that George Zimmerman was going to jail or that the Ferguson Police Officer was going to jail.
