That's not what's happening here though. They had a strike four years ago and got annual pay raises that ended this year, so they are striking again. I believe starting pay is like $32/hr. This is a direct response to the UPS pay. They are asking for 48% raise to over $47/hr starting out, and OT beginning after 32 hours, which would make starting pay in the six figures for a 40-hr week. This isn't asking for a living wage, but rather a union president seeing another union president fat on the hog and convincing workers he can get them UPS money.

Suprising liberal link source

It definitely seems like POTUS's lying ways to get into office, and selling out the average American.

While Fain is certainly no Trump supporter, he seems to have his union worker's interests prioritized. Two of the three counties are HEAVILY blue and his union support very well could have impacted Biden in these swing states and more, unless Biden agreed to support his union request.

Regardless of whether we agree with the 20% pay increase, or not. It seems like Biden's promise of support was given and now it's time to pay up.

This place has bitched about every single labor dispute.

Ups
Airlines
Uaw
Caterpillar
Railroad workers

It’s always “that’s not what’s happening here”

Government meddling once again screws things up for all Americans. If they would stay out of these strikes/negotiations alot of this crap would be sorted faster. And be more fair to both sides.

The NLRB is anti American. We definitely don't have anything close to a free market.

If not mistaken union dues are a percentage of pay not a flat amount of pay. So if wages go up a ton who really makes out.

The DNC. This is why they always side with the unions. Basically money laundering.

Either way the consumer is going to get fricked. They go on strike or get a big raise with less work.

You don't think every other manufacturer would take advantage of this and raise prices with less options to shop?

I'm sure they will. With Elon putting out a car every second he will pounce on the over paid UAW peeps and probably have 1 or 2 of the Detroit companies on their heels. They don't understand him and they underestimate him. And I don't even own an EV. I just see the handwriting on the wall.

Unfortunately being American made doesn’t mean the same thing it used too. Most reliable vehicles on the road are Japanese.

Your price is going to go up if you’re car shopping during a UAW worker strike.

Eh, nah.

On some models for sure that will happen.

Ford should say "fine, you are fired", and go hire non union labor. Follow Toyota's lead, like they should be doing.

Yep. Ford could save billions here if they play the long game and tell them to kick rocks. The American public will back them and don’t care that a bunch of idiots are griping about an already exorbitant contact that has strangled the auto makers already

Because that's exactly what he is doing, and it's gonna affect the other automakers. Just telling you what I'm seeing, and it's why I'm invested in this stock. Don't want an EV at this time but one day most of us will have at least one EV based on the cost of owning one.
