Exactly, and according to my genealogical research dating back to 1620 and the census numbers from pre CW, there were none accounted for, and I know that hurts the Leftist narrative, but so be it.
It’s the most absurd logic ever though, to put sins on people for something their great great great great grandfather did or didn’t do. This isn’t retroactive atonement. You’re only responsible for your own conduct, and quite honestly, the only ones with racial sin right now are those fixated on their skin color,and that’s not me. It’s those making a Big thing of their skin color.

Activists have gone tho rough what would be perfectly legit responses to all of this, and pre-deemed it all racist to say. "I have black friends. I married a black person. Crime stats. Slavery existed long before in Africa and still exists."
They've been instructed that these responses are all secret dog whistles for racism. It's a cheap marxist trick and they've fallen for it.
There's one thing they can't get around, though. Just ask them to go look up the origin of the word "SLAVE." It's the far left's favorite fricking word, so it should be easy for them.
If we all agree that the word "slave" has been around since before 1619, that pretty much fricking settles it.

It doesn’t matter in the slightest, and the truth of the matter is, you can take anyone living today, wipe their memories, and place them back in the 1840’s south and they’re going to rationalize the hell out of the institution of slavery, because that’s all they know. Same goes for the 1790’s North. Place them in the household of a yankee slave trader, and they’ll be quick to rally to the cause of the slave trade, because that’s all they know. FF to 1865 North and they’ll rationalize the hell out of passing legislation keeping blacks from immigrating North after the war.
It’s a very dumb and dishonest people who are quick to place blame and especially place blame on descendants 150-200 years removed from such a reality. What a ridiculous people to do such nonsense.
People who think they’d be different are fools of the highest order of foolishness.

No question about it. I tend to side with Christ who said that there’s none good, no not one.
It’s ridiculous to assume one hails from some pure bloodline and others from some sinful bloodline. It’s just another way for them to feel better about themselves, because that’s all this is, a means for people to elevate their own sense of goodness over others, meanwhile inside is a closet full of skeletons they hope nobody find out about, or perhaps they’re unaware and want to keep it that way so they can live in a forever bubble of delusion.
It’s just a bunch of immature people who’d rather feel good about themselves than actually do something about the real human condition we see before us, because that actually takes personal risk and sacrifice, and they’re not about that. They just want to feeeeeeeeel good. That’s all.

My family on my father's side has pretty detailed, hand written genealogical records that date back to the late 1700s.
Obviously, some have been copied over etc. My dad has most of them now from his father and grandfather. I helped him digitize them a few years ago. I've always found it pretty fascinating to be able to trace that part of my family tree back to the 1770s.
