Honestly…work. 30 years ago when I started as a young engineer, I didn’t realize it at the time, but I actually enjoyed work. Now some 30 years later, I have moved into management. I have a micro-managing boss and I get no satisfaction out of work at all.
Thinking about calling it quits and retiring at the first of the year.

Staying out all night drinking and going home with some strange

I suppose I miss the way life was maybe 10 years ago? Single. Had a good network of friends. Made the drive to 5-6 LSU games a year. Went to several NBA games a year before it became a 3 point contest. Took summer vacations with friends to whatever destination we wanted. I was in better shape, had a steady supply of strange. My folks were younger and getting around better. Things were good.

Nah
I’ve changed with the times enough to enjoy life pretty consistently
Wish I could see my friends more and I miss my dog, but you either get busy living or get busy dying

Love to hear positive things.
What have you replaced/added as time as gone by?

I try to reach out more nowadays. I used to be pretty reclusive, but you’ve gotta tell the people you love that you love them and nurture relationships
I started cooking more to replace the waning athleticism
Tried to move around and travel a bit more often
Met a great woman

Pickup basketball and rec League softball.
I'd still play, but who wants a 63 year old.
Being a DJ. I was dead broke when I was in radio, but I had a ball. Then I realized I loved radio more than it loved me.

Golf. Didn't matter how I played, just enjoyed being out playing with my friends. Then found out my spinal canel in my neck had been screwed up since birth. Got the triple level fusion and when I came out of anesthesia, both arms were paralyzed. After a lot of physical therapy, finally got movement. But I tried to swing a club again, no bueno. At least I got to play on some really great courses. Nothing like trying to chip in by a pond with a alligator hissing at you. Screw that gator. Got a birdie.

Seems a life long thing, no?

Yeah, since I moved out of LA. That was something I looked forward to , especially when the weather cooled off. Towards the end, I was burned out, and got spoiled of the comforts of my own home. Kudos to the fans that do it every home game. That's alot of time and effort spent. 16 hour day easily

Anything liberals get their hands on. They ruin everything they touch.

Playing video games.
Posted on 10/29/24 at 12:41 am to Billy Blanks
I'll give an off the wall one, the peak of FPS video games was prolly 2002-2013 or so.......they've just gotten worse and worse ever since.
Truthfully so have sports games though they have fallen off to a lesser degree IMHO.
Truly going through a peak I had no idea we were in. I'd have never believed it if you'd have tried to tell me at the time
ETA: I just thought of an even better one: 24 hours sports channels like ESPN. From 95 to prolly around 2011ish I left my tv on ESPN 24 hours a day even if I wasn't watching it. I will NEVER forget catching sportscenter at 10 pm or the never ending replays afterwards catching up on everything that happened that day. Other awesome shows like NFL primetime, Baseball tonight.....could watch them over and over.....technology changed and then the shows changed and it'll never be the same
Now I'm sad

Collecting sports cards. It’s gotten too pricey to be worth it for me.
This one I can't blame on anything but my own interest......I wish I still loved them as much as when I was a kid but I'm just not really interested anymore idk why
I think maybe all the info that was on the back of the card now being available in my pocket at any time may have something to do with it
