Yes they do. Is any child going hungry no matter okay with you? It isn't the kid's fault for having crappy parents.

Do you are ok with leaving a kid in the care of parents who will not even feed them?

Why pay for those who can pay? My daughters do not need any help paying their lunch money. This is a huge waste of tax payer money. This just reiterates that we pay too much in taxes already.

They should have taken the money to pay for this away from food stamp recipients. At least that way you'd actually have plausibly healthy food instead of hot pockets and skrimps and cokes.

Hope EBR is content with all of their fat kids in failing schools.

I wish the headline read "All EBR school system students to receive great education"

That wouldn't be much of a thread

These counts are used and provided to the government for funding

This is one of the biggest areas of fraud within organizations that receive government money. They are so afraid to lose the money they have been granted that they inflate numbers to keep the money flowing when they truly don't need it.

A perfect example of this is spending whatever money is left in a budget at the end of a fiscal year on things not actually needed so that the budget won't get cut for the next year. Instead of promoting efficiency, wasteful spending is encouraged.

WATCH YOUR MOUTH. Hot pockets have ham, cheese and bread, all wrapped into a delicious bundle. What else does one really need to survive?

yep, I saw this at the federal and state level. On one occassion a 42" tv was purchased, to burn up some money.

Its sad, but there is no reward for agencies that save money, they are punished by having the budget cut the next year. The system fuels wasteful spending.

wow dude. Kinda harsh huh?
I still stand by my earlier statement. This is one welfare program i don't mind at all. All kids at school should be provided lunch with our taxpayer dollars. No stigma of a free and reduced lunch kid should ever be attached to a young child because they have shitty parents.
