The other 7 who were lost in the media circus deserve remembrance as well.

We all know Kobe and his daughter weren't the only ones on the flight.

Kobe was the only one who had an impact on a generation.

The other losses are bigger than his to their loved ones

The loss of the kids is the worst part.

Some idiot station in Florida reported, for a short time, that all of Kobe's daughters were in the crash. Thankfully, it was quickly retracted.

One of my college roommates was killed in a terrible accident in Houston. His wife watched him die, along with their three children, as fire consumed the car. The kids were all under 10. It was the most gut wrenching funeral I have ever been to.

At the funeral, his grandfather told me that he retired "so he could be with his grandchildren." My roommate had a twin brother, who also had three kids and was divorced. Shortly after the car wreck, the ex and three kids of the twin brother were killed in a plane crash.

Let's be fair here...if Kobe isn't on that flight, there is no media. You likely wouldn't have heard more than a blip about this crash.

Also, some people don't want their deceased loved ones to be plastered all over the media.

Do we know why all of those people were on that flight? Did they know each other or were going to the same place?

Statistically speaking, that's absurdly low for how many small aircraft flights wealthy people take. I mean, Kobe was in a helicopter practically every day for two years without a single problem. One foggy day and a couple bad decisions and they're no longer here. Tragically, it was avoidable. Don't blame the aircraft.

Rich people with planes often have friends/family/business folks hitch a ride when they're flying. My boss aint rich and has a plane, we rarely are in the thing with just the two of us. He always has folks tagging along to do business. We get a lot of free hotels/dinners out of it.

Heading to the travel ball tournament at Kobe’s Mamba gym...the girls were all on the team, Kobe and one of the moms were coaches, I guess the others were traveling with their kids as spectators
