She says there is nothing she can do about her vocal fry. Her reporting is good, but her self promotion and voice are difficult to deal with at times.

The dad is dead. He died a few days after Alex’s wife and son were killed. This is referring to Paul’s grandfather and Alex’s father, Randolph Murdaugh, III.

No, she was the girl that his son killed on the boat in 2018. Alex and his dad’s influence buried the investigation. Going thought is that Alex’s son and wife were shot and killed by the boyfriend of Mallory as vigilante justice

Opioid addiction. Stealing millions from his firm. Life insurance policy on the wife. Yeah, I’m guessing he was desperate. Opioids effect the rich and poor the same. It’s just that this guy had more to lose than most with an opioid addiction.

I think most believe it was Alex that killed them, not Anthony Cook. Alex Murdaugh was putting out that narrative of revenge killing to take heat away from him.
The plot sure did thicken when Alex’s shooting turned out to be suicide by hire so Buster Murdaugh would be able to get life insurance money for the death. He’d be the sole heir to the throne now and Alex wanted to leave something for him. Strange.

I guess I’ve been too deep into the start of football, but I was only slightly aware of this whole saga until about a week ago. Fascinating, though.
I was listening to the The Last Podcast on the Left’s guys’ Wednesday episodes “Side Stories” last night. It’s about crazy current stories in the news. I guess they record it on Tuesdays or early Wednesday and put it up around 10 p.m. that night. And they’ve made jokes about how often something comes out after they’ve recorded, but too close to publishing it, that they don’t have time to catch it. Except last night.
So they recorded about a 5 minute update that they played before the already recorded portion. The thing that struck me—and them—was how much power and reach this family has. Said they had several emails from people in South Carolina or with families there, and they went into details about just how dirty and evil the family is and how much shot they’ve gotten away with. And literally all of the people who wrote those emails had originally given their consents to be read on air, emailed back saying “yeah, on 2nd thought, don’t read that email.” Said they either still lived there or had family that did and felt that they would be putting their jobs—maybe even their lives—in danger if they figured out where the es,OL’s Cosme from. Crazy.
