What’s the protocol on beaches restaurants and bars? Open with limited capacity?
Might head to Gulf Shores around Memorial Day.

Open for business!
Restaurants are open but limited capacity and must ensure social distancing between tables. Bars are still closed I believe unless they serve food. I don't think you're going to be out at 11pm with a bunch of drunk coeds or anything.
The beaches are fully open, but I've heard they're extremely crowded right now because Florida is pussyfooting around opening their short term rentals to out of state guests.

My buddy's tattoo shop is open, albeit with heavy restrictions, so I figure if he's open then everyone must be good to go

Friend lives in Orange Beach and said it’s close to peak summer crowds right now. He tried to go eat Friday night, but there was a 2 hour wait. Not sure if any are taking reservations. He said he’s leaving town today for a week or two to get away from the crowds.

Yea Florida having its short term rental ban is really increasing the tourist flow into Orange Beach. The restaurants operating at limited capacity obviously adds to the long waits too.

Everything is open, but as other posters have mentioned, it’s like 4th of July down here (we’re all super grateful, btw).
Restaurants are killing it, but one of the “unintended consequences” of govt bailout is like if seasonal workers. Lulu’s, which normally has a kitchen staff of over 100, has 11. The Hangout, 6. Gonna be a YUGE problem this summer for the big boys around here. Local restaurants won’t have that issue.

Yep. Every small business I know is having issues getting employees back. Gov’t fricked it up as usual.

I knew when I booked my friends place in Orange Beach that there were going to be issues, but this is turning out to be worse thanks to Florida.
I’m going to bring groceries and have food pre-cooked for the first two days. Other than the beach and pool we probably won’t go anywhere except for maybe a day time visit to the FloraBama
