re: Airports that still have corrals for nicotine addicts

I remember St. Louis had a smoking area around 2010, but the next time I was there, it had been removed. Are there any airports that allow smoking these days besides Reagan DC, Atlanta and Baton Rouge? Vegas and Memphis did it away with it, from what I remember.
I was shocked to see on in DC earlier this year. I figured all of the airports in the Northeast had gone smoke free years ago.
As long as the nearby areas are well ventilated and don't smell like smoke, I see nothing wrong with it because it just makes everything easier. Smokers don't need to go through security after stepping out. Flight attendants and airline employees don't have to deal with people acting up because they need nicotine. The main losers are people who have to sit next to heavy smokers for the first half hour of a flight. I've sat next to a few on Atlanta flights, and while I certainly don't like it, I'd rather sit next to a thin smoker than a 400 pound non-smoker.

they put a bunch of smokers in a little room together and then non smokers like myself have to smell them for the entire flight.

Last time I was at the Memphis airport, there were a couple open regular airport bars where people could smoke.

Wait, what are you talking about? I have not seen this. Is this in the trashy section of ATL airport otherwise known as the commercial section? And you are calling someone else in that area trashy? Hahahaha! At least I got my laugh out of the way for the day.

heaven help the poor sap that's gotta sit on the plane next to one of those folks confined to a cigarette smoke hotbox for 30 minutes. Those people have got to smell absolutely dreadful.

Pro tip for smokers in the ATL airport- Go to the Terrapin brew house in Concourse D. You can kick back with a cold one and enjoy yourself as many cigs as you can inhale.
Pro tip for non smokers in the ATL airport- Don't go to the Terrapin brew house in Concourse D.
I was about to mention that Atlanta has bars in some of the cigarette concentration camps now.

Salt Lake has some smoking lounges, but they're closing at the end of the year.
Nashville and Denver both have minimum purchase use cigar lounges with a shop or bar attached.

most airports have a method for people to smoke without going through security. Some are just more obvious about it.

St Louis was classic. I have not seen any aside from there in a while.

I passed by one of those in Atlanta many years ago and it had more smoke than the Jetbro Tull concert at the Municipal Auditorium in either 75-76, and it was really thick.

When did you fly at Kansas City?
I was coming back from Omaha (to New Orleans) and it was 20+ years ago. I am almost positive it was Kansas City. It wasn't St. Louis.
