I don't understand why everyone wants to board first either. I hate boarding first. It adds an extra 45 minutes you have to sit on the plane, and every single other passenger has to shuffle by and bump into you.
I check bags and just have my backpack to carry on, which fits under the seat.
I intentionally wait until they call final boarding to get in the plane, just to frick with the "fight to get on first because I have five carry-ons" crowd.
I cropdust everyone as I walk to my seat, too. Once they close that door, everyone gets to enjoy that for the next three hours.

I believe it was H. W. Bush that passed this abomination of a law.
All of this BS that has happened once the law was passed was predicted to happen.

I've used one in Atlanta because of inflamed knee. I could walk but it was extremely painful. I'm good now but was grateful for the help. Don't judge circumstances you know nothing about.
Agree 100%. I've been in this situation a number of times. After a big foot surgery, I was finally back in tennis shoes and doing PT, but I could not walk through an airport. I could walk, but I couldn't walk that far or very fast especially while pulling luggage or carrying anything. I had to either get a cart or a wheelchair for quite some time, doc's orders, plus I could feel it. I still have issues from time to time.
If you saw me, you'd probably decide I was in the wheelchair or the cart to get special treatment, but that's not the case. Your judgment would be incorrect.
I also don't like boarding early. I hate sitting on the plane a long time while people are brushing past you, knocking you with luggage, not enough AC etc...
Don't be an arse.

My dad has MS and can't walk long distances, though he can walk. Also even if he could walk the whole way it would literally take him like 45min to walk from the ticket counter to the gate in an airport the size of BTR.
Just because you can walk a few feet doesn't mean you can walk across an airport.

He’s not talking about people who need it, people. He’s talking about people who use it to get on, but all of a sudden don’t need it to get off. It’s like some of y’all can’t read smdh.

Being able to walk a short distance doesn't mean they don't need assistance dumbfrick.

There's plenty of explanations for that other than people abusing the service. Again I would like to point out how crazy you'd have to be to use it if you didn't in some way need it. What is the upside?

Grandma, mom and two small children on Friday morning at Dulles. Grandma gets wheeled into the area next to the smoking lounge. Gets up and walks briskly into the smoking lounge. There’s not a goddamned good reason why she used the wheelchair. Mom follows her in there and they leave the two kids alone with a box of donuts.
fricking idiots.

Thanks. I’m not so sure what was so difficult about that?

A lot of folks in here that can’t read. And make false assumptions.

Think OP is referring to obvious fatties with ailments directly related to their fattiness.

Sure some people may be abusing it, but him seeing them go out the terminal in a chair doesn't mean they were wheeled all the way to their seat.
They probably walked onto the plane too. When I fly, I always have a wheelchair to get me from gate-to-gate, terminal-to-terminal, and up, and down. the jetway (ramp).
I never get wheeled into or out of the plane, but I do have them push me until I get to the plane, and they push me up the ramp.
As has already been said, some people can walk, but can't do distances.

Flew home from NY earlier this summer and we counted 7 wheelchairs. Everyone one with extreme “culcha” and all 7 35-50 at oldest. None had any discernible illness or disability and they all had the same shirts on (sorority or family reunion or something). After we landed, everyone of them jumped up and walked off unassisted. Complete bullshite. Using the system to board first and make all of us wait..

Motherfrickers, what in your mind do people with disabilities look like? What do you think someone with cancer, MS, Parkinson's, a heart condition, Rheumatoid Arthritis, metal rods in their spine etc. looks like?
