Something not as intense as above happened yesterday and the monitoring agency said that a major eruption was imminent. Then the eruption just kept on with no major signs of changing. So maybe today is the big one?

Hmm, yes. Interesting. I've reviewed the colorful squiggly line data and I concur.

It's got 2 hours to make it happen.
I'm undecided if I want a day time eruption or night time.
The video would be clear with daylight obviously, but I think thermal cameras showing hot magma flowing would be cool also. Maybe it will be a day and night event..I can only hope.

The only two things that I know:
- what the volcanologist said anout it yesterday (they seem about as accurate as meteorologist
- the red lines indicate that the reading was cutoff so that the line didn't go across the entire graph

Is the eruption all the lightning in the clouds?
Posted on 11/29/17 at 9:26 am to theunknownknight
The cloud/ash moved off the mountain a few minutes ago and it appeared that a large lava flow was coming down what I assume is the Western side. You could see a large gap in the rim and a bit down into the crater.

I think that several thousands of those idiots should gather up and go out and picket on the volcano. The closer to the top, the better. I mean this spewing of gas just cannot keep on!

I have a tee time at 8:10 tomorrow in Destin. Should I be worried?
